Aspen Enterprises is a consultancy specialising in promoting new technology development through sales and marketing support, especially in the area of semiconductors, and the formation and management of EU jointly funded collaborative projects. It also provides web hosting facilities and web design with particular emphasis on database driven web engines for internet or intranet working.
Aspen has been operating since 1995 and is based just off the M5, south of Bristol, in the UK.
It was one of the main subcontractors to the OMIMO office in Brussels, managing the Open Microprocessor Initiative, a systems level design activity of the CEC, followed by a coordination role in the HPCN-TTN (High Performance Computing and Networking - Technology Transfer Nodes - see www.hpcn-ttn.org). Its personnel have been actively involved in the management of ESPRIT/IST projects since 1990. Current activities include the K2 (Knowledge Squared - see www.know-2.org) support for clusters. Through this Aspen has built up expertise in network co-ordination, a key requirement of these programmes.
In addition to its project management and web expertise, Aspen has considerable experience in Windows NT/2000/XP, NT server and Back Office Small Business Server administration and maintenance.
