| Local map The red route is for visitors coming south down the M5 and the yellow route for visitors coming down the A38 from Bristol / Bristol Airport. By public transport - taxi is 25 minutes from Bristol Airport; by train, get off at Weston super Mare and take a taxi (15-20 mins). Although Highbridge station is nearer, fewer trains stop there, and there are not normally taxis available. General note - Brent Knoll is an isolated hill on the Somerset levels, and so is a landmark for many miles around. Aspen House is located at the foot of the knoll, on the west side. |
| From the M5 Leave the M5 at junction 22, 1 mile/2km after Sedgemoor services. At the roundabout, which is offset from the motorway, turn right onto the A38 for Bristol, Weston super Mare and Cheddar. In approximately 800m, turn left at a cross roads (opposite the Fox and Goose pub) into Brent Knoll village. Follow this road for 1 mile/2km as it winds around until you come to a road junction, where you have to stop. Go straight on, and Aspen House is 200m on the left. | From the A38 From Bristol, follow the A38 past Bristol Airport, down through Churchill, Cross and various villages. Just after Rooksbridge, the A38 crosses over the M5 motorway. In 100m, turn right, into a small road. Follow this, and at the end, in east Brent, turn right onto the A370 towards Weston super Mare. In 200m, turn left at the traffic lights. Follow this road round as it winds around the hill, until after 1 mile/2km, you enter a "30" speed limit, with a road called "Middle Street" on your right. Aspen House is 100m further along on your right. |
